Boot Camp/Abs - Boot camp is mixture of HIIT, total body training and odd object training to target the total body and burn maximum calories while building muscle!! High-intensity interval training (HIIT) describes any workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. Odd object and speciality equipment for this class includes kettlebells, medicine balls, sleds, battle ropes, and more!! This type of training is beneficial to ensuring fat loss while also preserving muscle! It can be modified down for the most beginner client!! Join me for a post workout express abs class that will target your whole entire core and stabilizer muscles in the back and hips. We will move through this class quickly and hit all sections of the abdomen and low back! Movements can be modified but if you have any prior back injuries I would not recommend this to you unless you get clearance from a doctor first, as it is a fast paced class.
Kickboxing/Mobility- Kickboxing sessions will include a combination of kickboxing and boot camp style training. We incorporate both boxing and HIIT training to maximize calories burned, plus it’s fun! Burn anywhere from 400-700 calories focusing on proper mitt drills, focusing on proper form fo punching and kicking, plus you get to work the total body! Please provide your own gloves, you can find them on Amazon for cheap. This class is beginner friendly with basic kickboxing movements utilized. Following some of Kelly Startett's The Supple Leopard, we will focus on maximum mobility through various dynamic stretches, utilize lacrosse balls, bands and foams rollers to increase range of motion, prevent injuries, and improve performance.
Functional Bodybuilding - Following Marcus Filly's Persist Program, we will use his functional bodybuilding program for your strength sessions. These classes will be what most of you have done in small group personal training, just a little more customized and varied. Functional bodybuilding focuses on the movement patterns, full body exercises and overall balance. These compound movements used the body's natural way of moving to grow muscle and strength. We will utilize barbell movements, dumbbells, kettlebells and bodyweight exercises to build strength and progress in 6 week cycles. Each class will include a warm-up and cool down as well. Injury prevention is key here but you will also see amazing strength increases and will look good
Open Gym - Open gym is open hours where I will be present but there will not be a class. I may or may not have a client but it is a great time to come in before class and warm-up or stretch, or if you have a specific skill to work on this would be a good time. Or if you cannot make the scheduled class time you can do the class during open gym times as it will be prewritten on the board. Classes have priority so please make sure you are cleaned up before classes start. Also please clean up and put any equipment away that you use during this time.
